Help Home of Hope Resident Represent Oklahoma Special Olympics at National Games

Fundraising Goal: $1,600

July 18-23, 2010
Lincoln, Nebraska

Andy Edwards, Olympic Powerlifter

Andy doing squatsHey, my name is Andy.  I am a two time Oklahoma Special Olympics power-lifting champion. I have been selected as a member of the 2010 Special Olympics Oklahoma National Team and will represent Oklahoma at the National Games in Lincoln, Nebraska July 18-23.

I live at Home of Hope in Vinita, Oklahoma. They give me a great house to live in and a real job. They also provide many activities and Special Olympic opportunities for me and my friends throughout the year. It is an important part of our lives. The most important to me is the opportunity to be on their Special Olympics team.

I have a strict training program to follow as part of the Special Olympics Oklahoma National Team. As a result, Home of Hope is responsible for helping me by providing their Special Olympics coach, transportation and hotel for my personal training trips out of town.

Home of Hope’s cost of my training will be $1,600. Please consider making a donation to help me raise that amount of money for Home of Hope by making an on-line donation on my behalf to them. This is such a great honor and is a dream come true.

Thank you for your support.

In July, you can follow me along by checking out www.2010specialolympics.org to see how I am doing.
